Testing Process

1. Upon arrival at the entrance to the testing site, please show identification for all vehicle occupants to be tested, a copy of this email confirmation in paper form or on phone. You can show this through the window. Keep the window up.

2. Once your appointment is verified, you will be directed to enter the testing site.

3. When it is your turn, you will be directed to move forward to the testing tent and instructed to lower the window.

4. A technician suited in personal protective equipment will reach into the car and insert one or more swabs into the back of your nose and/or throat to extract a sample of your respiratory secretions.

The swab procedure may feel briefly uncomfortable, but most people do not find it painful. You do not need to hold your breath during the swab procedure and in fact continuing to breathe normally may help you relax during the procedure.

Please be advised that medical advice, evaluation and treatment are not being offered. A physician will be present in the tent only to advise the technician on sample collection as needed. If you experience a medical emergency, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Specimen type:

• Nasopharyngeal swab

• Nasal swab

• Oropharyngeal swab

Safety Information:

For safety, only one person should be in the vehicle, unless the second person in the vehicle is a minor or is unable to drive. If your vehicle contains a second person to be tested in addition to the driver, that person needs a separate appointment, and should be seated in the rear seat on the driver’s side of the car.

Remain in your vehicle at all times, and keep your windows closed until directed to lower them. Follow all posted instructions. For privacy, photographing and video recording is not permitted at the testing site.
